नई दिल्ली: गलवान हमले में शहीद हुए कर्नल संतोष बाबू को आज मरणोपरांत महावीर चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया। यह परमवीर चक्र के बाद दूसरा सबसे बड़ा सैनिक सम्मान है। वहीं, ऑपरेशन स्नो लेपर्ड का हिस्सा रहे नायब सूबेदार नूडूराम सोरेन, हवलदार के पिलानी, नायक दीपक सिंह और सिपाही गुरतेज सिंह भी मरणोपरांत वीर चक्र से सम्मानित हुए। चीन से हिंसक झड़प में 20 सैनिक शहीद हुए थे।

4 पैरा स्पेशल फोर्स के सूबेदार संजीव कुमार को मरणोपरांत कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया। राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद से उनकी पत्नी को यह पुरस्कार मिला। जम्मू-कश्मीर के केरन सेक्टर एक आतंकवादी को मारने और दो अन्य को घायल करने के लिए उन्हें यह सम्मान मिला।
